VCE Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • I tried logging into VCE Online and was told that I needed to update my profile and/or confirm my email address. I've never had to do this before. What is going on?
    • In order to better serve our members, we recently added some fields to our membership form. If you registered to be a member before we made these changes, our system recognizes that these new fields are not filled in on your profile and will prompt you to update your profile. In addition, we have added a step to our registration process where our system will send you an email when you register to make sure that you are using a valid and working email address. If you haven't logged in since we added this step, our system will recognize that you have not confirmed your email address and will send you an email after you update your profile. You will need to click on the "Click here to verify" link in your confirmation email in order to complete the confirmation process.
  • I followed the instructions for updating my profile and was told that I would receive an email with a link to confirm my account, but I never received this email. What do I do now?
    • Our confirmation email is sent to the email address that we have on record for you. Make sure that you are checking the same email account that you used when you sign up. Sometimes, our confirmation emails will end up in your spam or junk folder, so check there as well. If you taken these steps and still haven't received the confirmation email, contact us at info@vceonline.org and we can manually complete the confirmation process for you.
  • I updated my profile and received the confirmation email. When I clicked on the link in the email to confirm my account, I was taken to a page that said "Bad Request" or "Invalid Request". What do I do?
    • Our confirmation emails are sent to you in HTML format. If you experience this problem, this means that you have your email program set to display email in plain text format. Links do not display properly when displayed in plain text format. To resolve this issue, you can either switch your email settings to display email messages in HTML format, or you can simply forward your confirmation email to info@vceonline.org and we will be happy to complete the confirmation process for you.
  • I have forgotten my password and/or user ID. What do I do?
    • Your user ID is the same as the email address you provided us when you registered. If you can't remember your user ID, send us an email at info@vceonline.org and we will let you know what your user ID is. If you have forgotten your password, you'll want to visit our password recovery page and enter your email address in the text box to have your password emailed to you. If you have taken this step and did not receive your password reminder via email, contact us and we can reset your password for you.
  • I am trying to take a VCE Online Course, When I am finished watching a module, I can't continue on to the next module. What is happening?
    • If you are experiencing video issues with our courses, the first thing for you to do is take a look at the chart below and ensure you are using one of the approved browsers to view our courses. If your browser is listed below, then we will need to talk to the IT department at your location to resolve the issue. Please send us an email with your name, phone number, and organization so that we can contact your IT department.
