Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA) Group Leadership Skills

Learning Objectives:
-
How to start and maintain DRA groups
- How to understand Dual Recovery from a human perspective

ADA Acommodations: If you have individual requirements or need special services to participate in the training, please notify Jamie at (734) 785-7705, ext. 7427. Please make arrangements at least one week before the training.

Suggested Participants: Wayne County Change Agents, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Human Services, Health Care and Direct Care Professionals, Peer Support Specialists, Consumers and Advocates working and receiving services in the Detroit-Wayne County Community Health Agency network of mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities services.

Continuing Education Credits:
Continuing education credits are offered for this training. Participants must arrive on time and remain in the training for it's entirety including the question and answer portion. Late arrivals and early departures will result in the deduction of awarded credits. All participants MUST return to the check-in desk to sign-out and pick-up you certificate of attendance or else you will forfeit our proof af attendance and training hours/credits.

Social Workers:
10.0 Continuing Education Credits have been approved for this training
Substance Abuse Professionals: 10.0 Substance Abuse Professional credits have been approved for this training
Licensed Professional Counselors: 10.0 Continuing education credits have been approved for this training. The Virtual Center of Excellence is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED AS THIS TRAINING HAS ACHIEVED ITS CAPACITY. PLEASE CONTACT JAMIE FARMER AT 734-785-7705, EXT. 7427 TO BE PLACED ON THE TRAINING WAIT LIST. Pre-registration is required for this training by Tuesday, August 3, 2010. To pre-register, click on the "Register Now" button below. Walk-ins (people who are not pre-registered) are welcome at events. However, those individuals that pre-registered will have priority for seating and training materials. Walk-ins will only be allowed training materials and, in some instances, a seat once the training begins.
